UNO Selected Lead by DHS to Oversee Counterterrorism, Terrorism Prevention Research Center

In the midst of the pandemic, it was easy to miss that University of Nebraska at Omaha received the largest single grant in its 112-year history from the Department of Homeland Security. Omaha will now house a Center of Excellence for Terrorism Prevention and Counterterrorism Research.
What does this mean? It means highly specialized education, industry partnerships, world-leading research, and future JOBS for our students and young professionals. This is a game changer and the exact type of bold thinking and action Nebraska needs.
